Latest News - November 2026

We're busy rehearsing some great pieces of music, as always a good mix across the musical genres (rock, pop, classical, latin etc). That said, as the festive season approaches, we're getting old our Christmas music as we have a number of fantastic Christmas events in December.

As always, we try to play music from all styles and genres for two reasons. Firstly, it's good to be able to have a strong repertoire readily available so we can respond to different requests for concerts - such as themed concerts.

Secondly, playimg different styles of music, such as rock, pop, jazz, swing, marches,  musicals and classical keeps our rehearsals refreshing, the band engaged and as a result,  we improve our musicanship and have some fun at the same time.

So, with that in mind, here are some examples of what we've been playing recently:

• Holding Out For Hero (Bonnie Tyler)
• Tina Turner Selection
• Last of the Summer Wine
• Centurion (upbeat march)
• New York, New York (big band swing)
• Gabriel's Oboe (from the film, 'The Mission')
• Back To The Future  (from the blockbuster film of the same name)
